New Ulm Safe Routes to School Action Team

“Paint the Pavement” at the New Traffic Safety Playground

New Ulm Middle School 414 S. Payne St., New Ulm, MN, United States

Starting Monday, Aug. 22 at 10 a.m., volunteers are needed to paint the pavement for the new Traffic Safety Playground, which is located on the campus of the New Ulm Middle School and Jefferson Elementary at 414 S. Payne St. Painting will continue on the 23rd and 24th, and also on the 25th and 26th if needed. Volunteers can come and go anytime, so no matter how much time people have available, all help is appreciated.

Walk to School Day

Students from New Ulm Middle School, Jefferson Elementary, St. Paul Elementary and St. Anthony Elementary are invited to walk to school along with parents, teachers and community leaders in a “Walking School Bus.”

Walk and Roll to School

The national Walk & Roll to School Day is Wednesday, October 4, and students from Jefferson Elementary, New Ulm Middle School, St. Anthony and St. Paul are encouraged to participate. Volunteers and community leaders will accompany students on their morning walk by leading Walking School Buses.
