Registration is now open for the second annual South Central Minnesota Mental Health Conference being held May 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sleepy Eye Event Center.
Last year’s inaugural conference quickly filled up its 200 attendee spots and had a waiting list, so be sure to register early!
The South-Central Minnesota Mental Health and Wellness Conference envisions a world where mental health is openly discussed, understood, and supported without stigma. The conference aims to create a safe and inclusive environment where individuals from all walks of life can come together to share experiences, gain knowledge, and build a supportive community.
This second annual conference is being coordinated by the Brown County Mental Health and Wellness Action Team (MHWAT), which works throughout Brown County to reduce the stigma of mental health, increase resiliency and improve access to mental health treatment and services.
The conference will feature keynote speakers as well as a wide variety of breakout sessions and panel discussions. With generous support from sponsors, the full-day conference will be free and open to everyone. You can read an article with highlights from last year’s conference in The Journal.
